Tim Kaine Tried to Raise Taxes by S4 Billion in New Jersey
At a press conference, Donald Trump stated that Clinton’s running mate, Tim Kaine, did a terrible job in New Jersey. He said “First act he did in New Jersey was ask for a $4 billion tax increase and he was not very popular in New Jersey and he still isn’t.” Trump’s statement came a week after the announcement of Clinton’s running mate. It was a damning critique, but Tim Kaine was the Governor of Virginia, not New Jersey. Trump was referring to Tom Kean, a former Republican governor of New Jersey. While many of Trump’s statements are lies, we can put this one down to confusion.
